Hidcote Shawl

This is my hidcote after finishing chart #4. I'm now halfway through chart #7. I'm using cashmere that I bought while I was in China. It was only $15 for 2.2 lbs. I intend to buy much more on my next trip.

This shawl is fun but seems to take forever, especially now that I am up to 300+ stitches. I'm hoping to finish it by the end of the month. I intend to put it away to give to my daughter when she is old enough to appreciate it. Now that she has started to learn to knit and is enjoying it, I don't think it will be long at all :)

A Life Overflowing

My favorite mug is one that I bought in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, my daughter's birthplace. It has a panda eating bamboo with the words chengdu, china, starbucks. I think that was the best coffee I ever had. We were there for almost 2 weeks and China does not have cold drinks. Everything (pop included if you can find it) is served at room temperature. I really wanted a cold drink but the hot coffee was great :) Now if I could only figure out how to post this to the correct blog - A Life Overflowing!
